Myanmar Airways International selects Maxamation’s Aviator Revenue Management System to boost Revenue Growth

Myanmar Airways International (MAI), Myanmar’s leading international airline, has selected the Aviator revenue management system from Maxamation to support its strategic revenue growth and network expansion plans.

Operating a modern fleet of Airbus, Embraer, and ATR aircraft, MAI connects Myanmar to key destinations across Southeast Asia, as well as long-haul and regional markets including Dubai, India, China, and South Korea. As the airline continues to expand its international footprint with new routes and increased capacity, the need for a sophisticated and reliable revenue management solution became increasingly critical.

Following an extensive evaluation of multiple revenue management systems, MAI selected Aviator for its advanced optimization capabilities, proven performance, and ability to support data-driven decision making across complex airline networks. Aviator is designed to maximize passenger revenue on every flight by intelligently forecasting demand, optimizing inventory, and continuously adjusting pricing strategies in response to market conditions.

Aviator has now successfully gone live across MAI’s entire international network, enabling automated revenue optimization and providing the airline’s revenue management team with enhanced visibility, control, and confidence in their commercial strategies.

Tanes Kumar, CEO of MAI, made the final evaluations and decisions when selecting the most suitable revenue management system.

“The implementation of Maxamation’s Aviator platform provides MAI with the required support, automation, and inputs in pursuit of maximizing revenue quality. Beyond that, this initiative also aligns with our carrier’s digital transformation strategy, as we reshape our day-to-day business processes and methods to operate more effectively,” said Tanes. “Beyond that, we are also delighted that the Maxamation team has been highly professional and flexible in providing smooth end-to-end support, from the system evaluation, deployment, and training, providing expert guidance and comprehensive insights. We have no doubt that, with this tool, MAI will be able to continue meeting its revenue objectives as we grow and adapt to market shifts.”

By partnering with Maxamation and deploying Aviator, MAI strengthens its commitment to leveraging modern technology to enhance commercial performance, improve competitiveness, and deliver long-term growth in an increasingly dynamic aviation market.

Szin-Yi Leong, CEO of Maxamation is thrilled to have MAI as a new Aviator partner in Asia. Szin added “MAI is a well-established and highly successful airline serving 42 destinations. Maxamation are very proud to be working with them.”

“Maxamation provided extensive online training covering all the commercial and conceptual aspects of revenue management as well as the Aviator system training itself. As a result, the MAI team now have the tools and training needed to truly maximise flight revenue. Maxamation are looking forward to a long partnership.“
